30-06-16 Exhibit for the blind on 1,000 years of Russian monks Mount AthosKEAT

The Thessaloniki Centre for the Education and Rehabilitation of the Blind, in cooperation with the Pan-Ukrainian Charitable Organisation “Face the Truth”, is organising a tactile exhibit for the blind marking the 1,000 years of Russian Monasticism on Mount Athos.

The exhibit will run from Monday, July 4, until Friday, July 15. It will be held in the Polykarpos Hatzipavlidis room in the neo-classical building of the Centre for the Education and Rehabilitation of the Blind, at 32 Vasilissis Olgas Street, Thessaloniki.

The opening will be held at 1pm on Friday, July 8.

Visitors will have the opportunity to become acquainted with the history of the icons and images, with an exhibit guide available both in regular print and in Braille.
