30-06-16 University candidates to receive certificates of entry exam participation
For tertiary education candidates from General Lyceums (GEL) and Vocational Lyceums (EPAL) who participated in nationwide university entrance exams (Panelladikes) in 2016, a certificate of participation will be issued for the exams that will note the student’s written exam grades in all courses for which exams are held nationwide (General Education, Orientation or Specialisation, and Special Courses), as well as the total points accrued in each academic area.
The certificates will be issued as of July 6, 2016, so as to include the grades for special courses, which are expected to be announced on 5 July.
More specifically, the ministry will issue:
- A certificate of participation in the Pan-Hellenic Exams of 2016 for General Lyceums, under the new system.
For students who have a diploma from a General Lyceum or a Unified Lyceum, or any other type of lyceum, or a comparable School of Secondary Education, or a secondary school course of study at a Vocational Lyceum, as well as for those who have an equivalent diploma from a Vocational Lyceum, or a secondary school diploma from a foreign school and have sat for nationwide exams of the third year of a day school or the fourth year of an evening General Lyceum under the new system, a Certificate of Participation in Pan-Hellenic Exams in the 2016 academic year will be issued.
The certificate of participation is given to candidates after the finalisation of the grades of the annual Pan-Hellenic Examinations, in accord with existing provisions.
In order to implement the above procedures, the directors of general lyceums are asked to print out and distribute the said participation certificates for all students who request them, beginning on Wednesday July 6, 2016, from the digital “myschool” database.
B. Certificate of participation in the 2016 Pan-Hellenic exams at Vocational Lyceums (EPAL) under the new system.
Students with diplomas of a secondary school course of studies at a Vocational Lyceum, students who have both a diploma from a General Lyceum and a diploma of specialisation from a Vocational Lyceum (under law 4186 of 2013), as well as students with a diploma equivalent to that of a general lyceum, and who have sat for the 2016 Vocational Lyceum Pan-Hellenic Exams, are entitled to a certificate of participation in the 2016 Pan-Hellenic exaninations.
The certificates of participation are given to candidates after the finalisation of the grades lists of the Pan-Hellenic exams of the year, in accordance with existing provisions.
