25-07-16 University entry exams for Greeks abroad, civil servants’ children abroad
The Ministry of Education, Research and Religious Affairs has announced the 2016 exams schedule for general education courses and subject orientation groups for university entry under the special category “Greeks from abroad and children of Greek employees who are serving abroad”.
The exams will be held between the 6th and the 9th of September, 2016, at exam centres in both Attica (greater Athens region) and Thessaloniki, according to the following analytic exam schedule
A. General education courses for applicants of the five (5) categories
Tuesday, September 6, 2016 – Modern Greek Language
B. Courses related to subject orientation groups
Wednesday, September 7, 2016:
Humanities – Ancient Greek
Sciences I - Mathematics
Sciences II – Biology
Economic and Information Technology Studies– Mathematics
Thursday September 8, 2016:
Humanities – History
Sciences I – Physics
Sciences II - Physics
Economics and Information Technology Studies – Principles of Economic Theory
Friday September 9, 2016:
Humanities – Latin
Sciences I – Chemistry
Sciences II – Chemistry
Economics and Information Technology Studies – Development of Applications in a programming environment (Application Development Environment)
The starting time for all examinations is 15:30 (3:30pm).
The duration of all examinations is three (3) hours.
Applicants must arrive at examination centres AT LEAST 30 minutes before starting time.
C. Examinations of Applicants Who Are Disabled Or Have Special Education Needs
Applicants who are disabled or have special education needs will be examined , as long as the necessary documentation has been sent in advance, in accordance with the above programme schedule, at the same hours, and in the same courses, by a committee, which will function as a grading centre. To receive the examinee card, and for the place of examination, they will receive notification before the commencement of exams from the Directorate of Examinations and Certifications of the Ministry of Education, Research, and Religious Affairs.
D. Location of Examination
Examinations in all subjects will be conducted in Attica and Thessaloniki, based on the declaration of each candidate.
Candidates will receive the Examinee’s Card from the examination centre where they will sit for their exams, and which will be announced with a related press release.
E. Special Courses and Medical Exam and Practical Tests for the Department of Physical Education and Athletics (TEFAA)
The analytic programmed for examinations in special courses, as well as the scheduling of the medical exam and Practical Tests of applicants for the Department of Physical Education and Athletics (TEFAA) will be set by an upcoming Ministerial Decision.
