29-06-16 Legislation to secure payment of substitute teachers’ June salaries
With an amendment to a finance ministry bill to be passed today in parliament, arrangements are made to resolve the problem that arose with the reimbursement of employees who were hired with fixed term contracts (substitute teachers), due to a change in their pay schedule. Approximately 1,600 employees were at risk of remaining unpaid for the month of June. The new law states that the issue will be addressed through a joint ministerial decision (KYA).
