18-07-16 Special provision for foreign nationals, non-Greek university applicants
ANNOUNCEMENT
Foreign nationals and non-Greeks who wish to gain admission to higher technical schools and universities and have not had time to obtain the Hague stamp (Apostille) on their diplomas and on the certificate of eligibility for university admission in their countries, and in particular for this academic year, may present copies of these documents, whose authenticity is certified by their respective Embassies, along with an official translation, as noted in the 2016 instructions foreign nationals and those of non-Greek ethnicity , so as to receive a temporary confirmation that the diploma corresponds to Greek ones and that it notes the equivalent Greek grade point average.
All of the above candidates that have gained admission to an institution of tertiary education, in order to register must present to the competent Education Ministry Bureau the above documents with the Hague Apostille, so that it can issue the final certificate of degree parity and of the corresponding Greek grade point average, which must be included in the dossier of required documentation for registration. This final certificate will be issued only in cases where the documents with the Hague Apostille stamp confirm the authenticity of the copies, on the basis of which the temporary certificate was issued.
