21-07-16 General, vocational high school grads to register more easily at university
By joint ministerial decision of the ministries of education and the interior, the procedure for successful candidates (from general high schools, vocational high schools and other high schools ) to register at university faculties and departments has been simplified.
The decision abolishes the requirement that students submit a legible photocopy of their diploma, which until now was required in the registration process at universities, Highest Ecclesiastical Academies and tertiary technical schools (TEI), under decision Φ253/139098/Α5/7.09.2015 (Government Gazette 1882/Β΄/8.09.2015).
Also abolished is the requirement that high school graduates submit a “Certificate of Access” to prove they have taken nationwide exams and are eligible for admission to tertiary education (which was in effect under article 1 of law 2525/1997, as amended by article 1 of law 2929/2001).
