10-08-16 Nationwide education database issues advisory on all-day kindergartens
The Myschool nationwide database, used by educators and educational directorates and providing data on primary and secondary school developments, has issued the following announcements on kindergartens:
The first announcement states:
Following the education ministry’s establishment of uniform, all-day kindergartens, we kindly request that you do not proceed with the creation of classes or the assignment of teaching hours to educators, as the Myschool information system is in the process of adapting to the new hourly programme. We also wish to inform you that classes and teaching assignments that have already been processed will be deleted.
The second announcement reads as follows: The General Data (first card at “my institution”) for all kindergartens has been added in the section “Functionality”, where one must note the number of classes of the mandatory morning programme (8:30pm to 1pm), regardless of the organic status of the kindergarten. In this section one does not include early induction sections or other classes that must be created by the school - Management of classes using the corresponding area of studies. For the time being, no class should be created before Myshool issues the hourly programme of the uniform, all-day kindergarten.
The functionality application is open for changes only for school units, and we have completed a draft based on data for the 2015-2016 school year. Obviously, that data is used only as a projection. At the start of the school year, it will be updated with the actual number of classes in the mandatory morning lessons zone (8:30am to 1pm).
