07-09-16 Two Athens stadiums offered for Muslim Sacrifice of Abraham Feast

Between September 12-15 citizens who are Muslims celebrate the feast of the Sacrifice of Abraham, or Eid al Adha. On the morning of the first day, prayers will be held, as was done for the end of fasting for the Ramazan on 5 July.

The state has provided the Peace and Friendship Stadium (SEF) and the Athens Olympic Athletic Centre (OAKA) for the related religious ceremonies.

Interested organisations or associations who wish to use these venues must submit  their applications in writing to the governing boards of SEF and OAKA in a timely manner.

Organisations and associations in other parts of the country where Muslim worship venues have not been provided are asked to apply to thed local municipalities.
