31-10-16 Educational training conference Teachers4Europe held at Piraeus University
The Teachers4Europe 2016-2017 conference was held at the University of Piraeus on 29-30 October. The event was organised by the European Commission’s representation in Greece in cooperation with the Educational Radio-Television of the Ministry of Education, Research, and Religious Affairs and the Inter-University Cooperation (ERDIC) of the department of International and European Studies of the University of Piraeus and the support of the office of the European Parliament in Greece.
The aim of the activity is to create a network of primary school and secondary school education that will have the necessary knowledge and capability to convey to students in a suitable manner the issues related to European affairs, developments and prospects. This educational action is a continuation of corresponding actions in previous school years, which were especially successful.
The Ambassadors of the programme Teachers4Europe Ambassadors participated in a training conference on 29-30 October, which was organised by the Workshop of Educational Policy, Research, Development and Inter-University Cooperation, in cooperation with the Educational Radio-Television of the Ministry of Education, Research and Religious Affairs. The two-day event aimed to brief Ambassadors of Teachers4Europe and to establish a more effective exchange of views on the development and course of the programme.
The Educational Radio-Television of the Ministry of Education, Research and Religious Affairs participated with three workshops: “Open digital repositories in Europe: How do we utilise them?”, “Marking the image”, “Creating videos with students”, and “Marking the image”.
The participation of Educational Radio-Television is contributing actively to bolstering the innovative nature of the programme, as the Ambassadors become acclimated, through various tools and practices, to the use of multi-media. A significant segment of the results of the project will be adopted as best practice.
