01-11-16 Announcement of Diofantos Institute on private school enrolment
In regard to press reports on data of the myschool database pertaining to the student body, the Institute of Computer Technology and Publications (ITYE) Diofantos - as the technological pillar of the Education Ministry , and via the myschool office (which operates in its central bureau) - provides statistical data to institutions, without any administrative, educational or other type of interpretation.
In regard to private junior high schools during the 2016-2016 school year, the data on the student body cannot be considered complete, as in the previous school year the registration of data by private schools in the myschool system was optional (only 49 schools provided data).
This year, the provision of data became mandatory, under encyclical Φ8/145/97610/Δ2/14-06-2016 of the Education Ministry, and 123 schools have already submitted their data so far.
With a plethora of private schools and students, the data changes every day, and is recorded on the myschool system. The definitive numbers will be available after the first evaluation of the data of this school year, after the first trimester of the 2016-2017 school year.
