30-12-16 Minister Gavroglu attends archdiocese New Year pita cutting

Education, Research and Religious Affairs Minister Kostas Gavroglu today attended the ceremony to cut the New Year’s Vasilopita at the Athens Greek Orthodox Archdiocese.

Following the pita cutting, Archbishop Ieronymos underlined that, “We people are the salt of the earth, and salt has two qualities – the one is to preserve and the other to make food tasty.” If it loses these two qualities it is no longer of value,” he concluded.
